Asian Fusion Residence Project Details

My client engaged me to facilitate furnishing her entirely new home in Florida. Unsure of her decisions, specifically whether or not they would work, she sought my design expertise to guide and collaborate with her on the entire home furnishing soup to nuts. She had a vision of what she wanted; a modern Asian-infused flair, influenced by feng shui, merged with Western style elements.

I stepped in, shopping with her for many hours at a time, to decide the correct sizes, style and fabrics for the sofas, wall unit, dining table & chairs, bed styles & custom bedding, nightstands, also including the design of the Den built-in desk-bookshelf unit, sleep sofa, and paint colors both faux decorative and straight paint. Not a detail was missed including all of the multi-layered custom window treatments, artwork and accessory program, area rugs, chandeliers and task lighting throughout.

All rooms seamlessly work together

Throughout her home, the rooms seamlessly work together by combining a pared-down palette, and relying on the rich contrast of materials and colors such as cream colored leather against warm cherry wood tables and plush golden shag area rug. The bold statement of the black drapery fabric combined with the cream colored fabric of the cornices above made a dramatic, clean, and captivating composition juxtaposed next to the sleek streamlined cream leather sofa's.

Creating Simple and Elegant Living Spaces

In aiming for simple, elegant, and uncluttered living spaces which evoked peace, balance, and serenity, the client was completely satisfied and content with the overall aesthetic of her surroundings. All are sophisticated, smart, and tailored.
